چکیده
We present results from a deep seismic sounding (DSS) experiment carried out along the southern coast of Finland in summer 2015. Data used survey derived industrial blasts recorded by temporary project stations and permanent network stations. The western 220 km part 450 long Southern Coastal (SOFIC) profile runs Uusimaa belt (UB) 1.7–1.9 Ga subprovince (SFS) Svecofennian domain, while 170 east crosses 1.62–1.65 Wiborg rapakivi batholith (WRB). farthest 60 cross geologically diverse area consisting supracrustal rocks granitoids Saimaa (SA), an eastern extension SFS. Our show that Moho boundary depth varies significantly, ca. 52–54 below UB to 40–45 WRB. All three crustal layers (upper, middle, lower) have their maximum contact zone between Below WRB, lower crust with Vp ~6.7–6.9 km/s is observed. High velocity was observed (Vp ~7.2 km/s) possibly SA ~7.35 km/s). modelling based on ray tracing, using extrapolation wave arrival times help travel predicted one-dimensional model. resulting two-dimensional model partly relies data intersecting DSS profiles supports previous observations lithospheric structure southeastern Fennoscandia.

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...
The Crustal Structure of Orientale and Implications for Basin
Introduction. The topography [1] and gravity [2] of the Moon are dominated by the signatures of impact basins and the mascon gravity anomalies contained within. A method of generating higher resolution crustal thickness models by utilizing the symmetry of the basins is here presented, providing a refined view of the subsurface structure of the basins, with a focus on Orientale. The crustal stru...
متن کاملSeismic evidence for widespread deep crustal deformation caused by extension in the western US
Laboratory experiments have established that many earth materials are strongly anisotropic. Observations of azimuthal and radial anisotropy in the upper mantle are attributed to the lattice-preferred orientation (LPO) of olivine caused by the shear strains associated with deformation, and provide some of the most direct evidence for deformation and flow within Earth’s interior. Although observa...
